We have recently been making a fantastic impact in education with our Evolve for Schools programme. Evolve for Schools equips people to create and sustain an organisational culture where everyone takes responsibility for success and can thrive individually and together. It is the product of 15 years of experience in the corporate sector and 5 years of intensive leadership development work in secondary schools in inner city London, in particular helping those schools move to Outstanding in record time.
The programme is founded on robust leadership theories coupled with a sound understanding of the current educational context. It directly addresses Ofsted’s ‘Leadership and Development’ criteria and is focused on improving the overall quality of teaching in schools. To become an outstanding teacher you need to understand where you can improve, you must want to develop and grow, and feel supported in doing this.
Through a series of workshops, Evolve builds leaders’ confidence, helps them develop their own leadership style, and gives them the skills to have tough conversations with their colleagues without causing conflict or lowering morale. These conversation skills make performance management meetings and feedback sessions far more productive and positive. When these types of conversations are happening within a school, teachers are enabled and inspired to raise standards for themselves as well as improving student outcomes.
We believe that people need to be at the heart of strategic change. It is this belief and our desire to work with organisations where we feel we can make a real difference and help them make one too that has fuelled our passion to become more involved with education.
