Sue Murray

Sue’s work has always been about people. She’s driven by her curiosity to understand what fulfils us, and her conviction that we should all have the opportunity to be true to ourselves in our work. As an executive coach, leadership development trainer and HR search consultant, Sue has considerable experience of helping people identify and attain their ideal career opportunities, and flourish in their roles.

“I began growing my work in coaching, team building and leadership development more than 10 years ago. I felt strongly that the insight I’d gained about people and organisations during my years as an HR search consultant could give my clients and their teams something valuable.

As an executive coach and team facilitator, I love helping individuals and teams shift their perspectives, overcome obstacles, and find fulfilment in really making the most of their potential. I believe that businesses need people with heart, and that high performance isn’t possible without authentic leaders who are brave enough to be open and transparent.

My clients benefit from my business and HR background and the wealth of experience I’ve gained through my recruitment work. What I’ve learnt working with large blue chip companies often sparks ideas and insights when working with organisations in the education, not-for-profit and public sectors, and vice versa. Essentially, every organisation is about people and relationships.

“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.”

In my other role as a specialist HR headhunter, I believe strongly that excellence in recruitment stems from honest conversations, both with the client and the candidates. Hiring someone who will contribute long-term to an organisation relies on making a match of aspirations and values. This may not always be quick or easy, and often demands some challenging discussions, but it provides everyone with the greatest value in the long run. Helping individuals realise their potential once in post is where individual and team coaching provide a natural continuum.”
